Seaventures house reef

The first dive of every visit to Seaventures is an orientation dive around the house reef under the rig. Seaventures offers unlimited diving around the rig (with your buddy) so its a good idea to have the way shown round as soon as you arrive.

a riot of life

The bottom is sandy and littered with structures that are being assimilated by coral, sponges and fishes into the underwater world.

Mando took me out a little away from the rig to find the ornate ghost pipefish - beautiful. Then we came back and swam round the rig pilings and spotted several crocodile fish, frog fish and then came across a veritable party of nudibranchs. We counted 22 within 1m sq!

I never take camera on the first dive but I was gutted I didnt have it with me for that one!
