Eel gardens - the return trip

We dived this one with Epko and Miranda who had not been before. They were keen to see the eels but this time there were none. Everyone was down in their holes. Compare that to the enormous amount I saw on the last dive..

Sand waves

Very surgy entry and exit. We had to enter into a small "lagoon" which fits 2-3 divers in the calm, but everytime I started to descend I got pushed right against the side. Ahmed was gesturing me strongly to descend and I had the choice of landing right onto Epko or hitting the rock walls. I swam to outside the lagoon and sank onto the sand.

This was the famous site with no current, and this time we got photos to prove it. The picture of Ahmed below is taken perpendicular to the shore - and look at those sand waves. Wave action is strong here.

Picture above was taken at 8m, but even down at 20m there was wave action.
